Supporting Easter Seals Ontario Through Event Coordination
Easter Seals Ontario holds a special place in our hearts, and we are honoured to contribute to their mission of empowering children and youth with physical disabilities. Beyond participating in events like the Sudbury Celebrity Hockey Classic, Ladies Invitational Mulligans and Mascara Golf Tournament, and Dancing with Easter Seals Stars, we actively assist behind the scenes. Our role includes day-of coordination, assisting with planning when needed, organizing event logistics, and ensuring each event runs smoothly and successfully. From coordinating timelines to helping with setups and managing the little details, we are dedicated to making these events impactful and memorable. Supporting Easter Seals allows us to give back to the community while helping make a difference in the lives of so many deserving children and their families.
On March 1, 2025, the Caruso Club in Sudbury transformed into a world of Disney magic for the 14th annual Dancing with Easter Seals Stars – A Magical Night. Presented by Nickel City Ninjas, this sold-out event reached capacity within 48 hours and brought the community together for an unforgettable evening of fun and fundraising.
Guests enjoyed a lively cocktail hour and themed décor before the spotlight turned to ten incredible dance teams competing in a two-performance, all-or-nothing showdown. From dazzling costumes to crowd-cheering choreography, the energy in the room was electric.
Despite a snowstorm and last-minute tech hurdles, the show went on—raising an amazing $130,000 in support of Easter Seals Ontario. The night also featured inspiring stories from families like local ambassador Hudson Roy and his mom, reminding everyone of the impact their support makes.
We’re so proud to be part of this magical event, assisting with planning, rehearsals, and day-of coordination. Together, we’re helping children and youth with physical disabilities reach their full potential. Thank you to everyone who made A Magical Night one to remember!
The Sudbury Celebrity Hockey Classic 2024 was an incredible success, thanks to the amazing support from the community. A special thank you to all those who attended the Hockey Greats Draft Sports Dinner on Thursday—we are proud to share that the event was SOLD OUT, bringing together hockey legends, sponsors, and Easter Seals supporters for a memorable evening.
On Friday, October 18, 2024, the excitement continued with free admission to the tournament play at Countryside Arena. The day was filled with action, culminating in the All-Star Game at 12:00 PM, where the Top 16 FUNdraisers faced off against NHL Alumni in a thrilling match.
Later that evening, hockey fans gathered for the Sudbury Wolves vs Sarnia Sting game at 7:00 PM, where Leafs Legends Darryl Sittler, Wendel Clark, and Rick Vaive made an unforgettable appearance for the ceremonial puck drop, honoring the Leafs’ longest reigning captain, George Armstrong #10.
Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, we raised an astounding $230,000, all of which will go towards supporting Easter Seals’ mission of providing essential mobility equipment, programs, and camps for children and youth with physical disabilities. We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of support and for helping to #HelpKidsBeKidsStrong!
On June 12, 2024, the stunning Forest Ridge Golf Course set the stage for the 2nd Annual Mulligans & Mascara Ladies Invitational Golf Tournament, an inspiring day of fun and philanthropy in support of Easter Seals Ontario. This incredible event brought together an amazing group of women to celebrate resilience, empowerment, and giving back.
The day began with registration at 11 AM, followed by a refreshing pre-game stretch. At noon, the tournament officially teed off, with golfers enjoying the beautiful course, great company, and a day dedicated to supporting children and youth with physical disabilities. Participants also had the chance to enjoy our signature Iced Coffee and Magic Punch—a perfect treat to complement the sunny day!
This fun and engaging event highlighted the importance of taking time for yourself while making a difference in the lives of others. The funds raised provide essential mobility and accessibility equipment, helping Easter Seals Ontario continue its mission of improving the quality of life for the children they serve.

On February 24, 2024, the Caruso Club in Sudbury transformed into a celebration of love for the 13th annual Dancing with Easter Seals Stars – “Amore.” This sold-out event, which reached capacity within just 24 hours, showcased the incredible talent and generosity of our community.
The evening kicked off with a lively cocktail hour, followed by a delectable Italian dinner. Guests were treated to unforgettable performances by Dance Evolution and an exciting silent auction before the highlight of the night—the thrilling dance competition. Local celebrities and business leaders, paired with professional dancers from studios across the city, lit up the stage in a fierce and fun display of skill, creativity, and teamwork.
The event raised an astonishing $160,000 for Easter Seals Ontario. This impressive feat was a testament to the dedication of all involved, from the dancers and organizers to the generous supporters who attended.
Being part of this heartwarming and impactful event is an honor, and we are so proud to assist with planning, rehearsals, and day-of coordination. Together, we are helping Easter Seals Ontario continue its vital work of providing essential mobility equipment, programs, and support for children and youth with physical disabilities. In 2023, we were honoured to assist with The Sudbury Celebrity Hockey Classic, an incredible charity event in support of Easter Seals Ontario that raised over $131,000 for children and youth with physical disabilities. This two-day event brought together hockey legends, local businesses, and community members for a shared goal of making a difference.
Day 1 featured the Draft Sports Dinner, an exclusive evening including a VIP experience for top fundraisers, sponsors, and business leaders. Attendees enjoyed a musical guest cocktail hour, a plated dinner, live and silent auctions, and an exciting NHL Alumni Hot Stove Q&A. The highlight of the evening was the Draft, where each participating team competed to secure their draft position based on their fundraising efforts. The top fundraising team earned the coveted 1st Pick Overall, selecting an NHL Alumni to captain their team during tournament day.
Day 2 brought the action to Countryside Arena, with games beginning at 8 AM. Each team played two guaranteed games, leading up to the All-Star Game with a puck drop at 12 noon. Admission was free, encouraging the community to come out and cheer for the teams and NHL Alumni as they competed on the ice.
This event was not only a celebration of sportsmanship but also a testament to the power of community in changing lives. We are proud to have supported Easter Seals in making this event a success and are grateful to everyone who contributed to such a meaningful cause.
